Stretching

Go deeper with Practitioner Assisted Stretching (PAS). Stretching is an important component to any lifestyle to keep the body functioning optimally. The goal of stretching is to calm the body, restore range of motion, and decrease muscle soreness.

Triggerpoint Assisted Stretching -

Practitioner Assisted Stretching and the Triggerpoint Impact percussion massage tool. Together, this will help increase blood flow, hydrate muscle tissue and improve range of motion pre and post-workout.

*Not recommended for those who are pregnant. Must be cleared by your medical doctor before first session.

*Individual 30 & 60 minute sessions.

The benefits of Stretching are -
  1. Improved range of movement

  2. Increased Power

  3. Reduced post-exercise muscle soreness

  4. Reduced fatigue

Tight, stiff muscles limit our normal range of movement. In some cases, lack of flexibility can be a major contributing factor to muscle and joint pain. Tight, stiff muscles interfere with proper muscle action. There will be a decrease in performance and lack of muscle movement control if the muscles cannot contract and relax efficiently. Short, tight muscles also cause a dramatic loss of strength and power during physical activity.

In some cases, muscles that are tight and stiff can restrict blood circulation. Good blood circulation is vitally important in helping the muscles receive adequate amounts of oxygen and nutrients. Poor circulation can result in increased muscle fatigue and, ultimately, impede the muscles’ repair process and the ability to recover from strenuous exercise.

Any one of these factors can greatly increase the chances of becoming injured. Together they present a package that includes muscular discomfort, loss of performance, an increased risk of injury, and a greater likelihood of repeated injury.

EMS Therapy

The power of Electromagnetic Muscle Stimulation Therapy comes from high intensity focused electromagnetic muscle stimulation.

EMS sends mild electrical pulses through the skin to help stimulate injured muscles or manipulate nerves to reduce pain.

EMS may not be appropriate for everyone, but for many people this painless procedure is accelerating recovery and providing relief from painful or uncomfortable symptoms.

During your 30-minute session, you’ll experience 20,000 pain-free contractions equivalent to 20,000 crunches.

EMS Therapy is also ideal for contouring your sexist glutes and arms.

*Not recommended for those who are pregnant, have pacemakers, or other electrical/battery operated medical devices.

The benefits of EMS Therapy -

EMS uses electrical pulses to mimic the action of signals coming from neurons (cells in your nervous system). These mild electrical currents target either muscles or nerves. EMS therapy for muscle recovery sends signals to targeted muscles to make them contract. (Flexing your biceps is a form of muscle contraction.) By causing repeated muscle contractions, blood flow improves, helping repair injured muscles.

Those muscles also improve their strength through repeated cycles of contraction and relaxation. EMS therapy can also “train” muscles to respond to the body’s natural signals to contract. This type of EMS therapy, which focuses on pain relief, sends signals on a different wavelength so they reach the nerves, rather than the muscles. Electrical stimulation can block pain receptors from being sent from nerves to the brain.

EMS therapy uses a slightly stronger current than TENS to get muscles to contract. The unit’s electrodes (also placed on the skin near the affected muscles) cause rhythmic contractions. This can improve muscle strength if the user attempts to contract the muscles simultaneously.

Infrared Therapy

Infrared saunas, sometimes referred to as infrared therapy or Waon therapy, are modern solutions to a wide range of different ailments.

They are exactly what they sound like - a sauna that uses infrared light as the heat source. This is by design. Typical saunas just heat up the air, and they are not very efficient. Instead, the infrared sauna will use light because this type of heat can more easily break through the skin barrier and heat up your body’s tissue.

The benefits of Infrared Therapy -

> Easily & Safely Detox Your Body

Perhaps the most noteworthy reason people invest in IR Therapy is it allows you to safely and efficiently detoxify your body. By laying in the blanket a few times a week, 30 minutes per session, you can sweat out all that nasty stuff accumulating in your body. You’ll feel cleaner, and as it turns out, you’ll look cleaner too!

> Improve Your Skin, Hair, & Nails

Detoxifying your body in itself will rapidly improve the condition of your skin, but Infrared Therapy actually further amplifies this benefit. The infrared light used kills bacteria in your skin and leaves your skin cleaner and healthier afterwards. The technology also works to tighten your skin, making you look younger too! Collagen is an essential part of nail, hair, and skin health - and the production of it is boosted through infrared therapy! So by using our IR Therapy blanket, you’re actively improving your skin this way too. But, you’ll also improve your hair and nail health as well.

> Reduce Stress & Improve Your Mood

We mentioned earlier that the infrared sauna is a therapy for many people - and there is actually science supporting this! That’s right, our IR Therapy blanket can stimulate happy chemicals, known as endorphins, which will instantly elevate your mood and have you feeling good mentally and physically. These have also been shown to greatly reduce stress, one of the most common ailments we face as humans. Stress isn’t just a mental issue - it can actually deteriorate your physical health too, which is why it’s so important to have a method of managing it.

> Enjoy Increased Blood Flow

As your body temperature rises, your blood circulation increases too. When using our IR Therapy blanket, you are essentially raising the internal temperature of your body. The result of this is more efficient blood flow throughout your body. This promotes quicker healing and recovery, and also helps further detoxify your body!

> Improve Your Sleeping Patterns

Sleep is one of the most important things for your physical and mental wellbeing - and it’s one of the many areas of your life that can be improved by routine use of IR Therapy. By experiencing a treatment at the end of the day, your body and mind will both naturally wind down, helping you fall asleep and stay asleep.

> Burn Calories & Shed Weight

It goes without saying that you’re going to shed some weight with regular sessions of IR Therapy - you’re going to sweat a lot as your internal temperature rises! But, sweating out water weight doesn’t necessarily mean you’re burning fat. With that said, the raise in internal temperature actually DOES burn calories! And, it burns more than you might think.

Studies have shown that a single 30 minute IR Therapy session can burn as many as 400+ calories!

This is not an all inclusive list of benefits of Infrared Therapy - they are just some of the most noteworthy.

If you’re ready to improve your mental and physical wellness with just three 30 minute sessions a week, click on the link below to book. Also, check out our IR Therapy Plan to save on multi-sessions!
